Radical. Most likely not a font, and if so, I haven’t seen it available digitally. Have a look at Mercano Empire and BQE which may have been influenced by the same typeface.

Thanks Stephen. I can definitely see the influence it has made on BQE! It’s very similar. This typeface was used quite commonly in surfing magazines around early 70’s. While we are on this subject I have another a few others from similar time that I would love to know they are:

afrts - dunno. alts: Braggadocio or Futura Black
sundown - Bookman with swash, available from ITC/Monotype or Veer.

That said do you know the face that ’Neil Young’ is written in?
Oh, this was a Dutch released 45 pic sleave.

I’m guessing (hoping?) that “neil young” is not a font and is custom designed. It looks like it was made from perfect semicircles and straight lines.

“Surf” is a typeface called Deutsch Black (Homage to the Alphabet p.136).
“Time Fade Away ...” is Marvin.
