(x) "good things for the kitchen" slab serif in Martha Stewart Living - Archer {Mikey}

mwebert

Any idea what font is used for "good things" in this sample?

It's a nice clean slab, and it looks remarkably familiar, but I just can't place it.

Thanks!

Archer- and exclusive typeface from Hoefler and Frere Jones.

I love it too, but too bad its exclusive though.

Archer reminds me in some way of Charminette:

There are other fonts that remind me archer- of course the brain is not working right now!!!

Mikey

You rock!

Thanks for the superultrafabulously speedy response.

If you need something similar, take a look at Parry. It is "quirkier" though...

I've heard that Martha Stewart Living's exclusive license runs out this year and it will be available for retail sale sometimes in 2007.

Has anyone else heard something about this?

Oooh, that would be grand. I'll ask Jonathan next time I see him on iChat.

Michael, what do you think of Bodoni Egyptian?

OK, I just spoke with Jonathan and he confirmed that H&FJ has Archer on their retail calendar already. So a little bit of patience and it can be all yours. ;^)

Good work Yves and thanks for the conformation... Archer is a fabulous typeface I can't wait to get my hand ons

Mikey :-)

Hi Michael :-)

I finally remembered the other typeface that reminded me of Archer... Coquette by Mark Simonson. Especially in the light and regular weights.

We all have our senior moments---except I'm only 27!!!

There's also something reminiscent of Caecilia about Archer...

Can't wait for it to become available for mass consumption! It's going to be everywhere in '08! :-)
