(x) Litmus / Fenotype - similar to Neuropol / PMN Caecilia {Lex / Lari}

Mr Brown

Hello all,
My client an architect of all people,
had this identity done but not by me, but needed to know what it is.
Horrible bedroom PC thing...
festive love to all typeheads.

This could have been constructed from quarter-ovals and straight lines.

You could try suggesting Neuropol for a much better look.

- Lex

Hey Lex.
Wow that was quick!
Yeah god know's how or why they did it.
Wil send on the neurpol as a suggestion.

Thank you very much.

Mr Brown

I just looked through the Techno > Sci-Fi section of DaFont, and I couldn't find this one.

- Lex

Have a look at the fonts from Identikal, particularly Stak, for something that could probably be edited into a close resemblance of this thing.

An idea which font they use on their website?

Ludwig, I think the fenotype question should be a new thread.

- Mike Yanega

I think it’s Caecilia.

The "s" looks like a Greek final sigma. Is that intentional?
I don't understand the PC reference in your initial post.

ChrisL

That fenotype site is a good one for inducing an epileptic fit :^ (

It gave me a headache.

Nick Cooke

Hello Chris.
I'm glad someone got it.
It's a strange and hard to explain its just a feeling I get when I see certain typefaces.
Thanks for the support perhaps we should start a movement.

The client is happy now and actually apologised for offending me.?!

Thanks to everyone for helping and so quick.

Mr Brown

Yeah it's mental as...
what would Jakob Nielsen make of it?

"The client is happy now and actually apologised for offending me.?!"

That is a first :-)

ChrisL

“The client is happy now and actually apologised for offending me.?!”

That is a first :-)

Particularly from an architect! ;-)

I see this thread is being closed with 'PMN Caecilia' as the answer. How did that happen? This 'litmus' sample doesn't come from this Caecilia, or I'll eat my fonts. :)

- Mike Yanega

You've got to follow the logic of the slashes, Mike. ;^)

Mr Brown was happy with th "similar to Neuropol" suggestion by Lex for the Litmus ID, and Ludwig M. Solzen's intrusion was successfully identified as PMN Caecilia for the Fenotype website by Lari.

Ooops! I see that now (never did look at the fenotype font, since I was trying to get a new thread started). This doesn't mean I need to eat my fonts, does it?

- Mike Yanega

Are you gonna eat them digitally or what? Not in metal, right?
I’ve got some HP sauce in my fridge but I don’t like it. Do you want some? :^·

I was planning to eat them virtually with House Sawce, but thanks for offering.
