Old letterpress font

rtgbanks

Today I used the letterpress machine at university. I am wondering what the font I used is called and weather it has ever been digitalised.

Hope you can help

Cheers

Dont know why my face is so big!

you need to change your avatar size. 64x64 pixels at 72 dpi

:^)

It looks like some form of Helvetica Condensed. Does the 'G' have a spur on it?

- Lex

Nah, if this is letterpress this probably is a standard Grotesque or "Grot".

I suppose it would help if I read the thread title and the first post before replying :P

- Lex

Hehehe, happens to the best of us.

Thanks alot Bald Condensed :-)

Already got Grotesque 9!

Cheers

Rick

There is a new (old) wood letter manufacturer in Hamburg, Germany.
He offers not only these letters but although the possibility for designers to produce their own wood letters from their own compositions.

May be someone is interested in:
http://www.holzlettern-manufaktur.de/

And another new information about lead letters:
The follow-up company of Stempel AG is still alive and will start new activities to offer their wonderful fonts worldwide. And they can deliver any height of letters which is needes, e.g.
23,56 mm - German printing height
23,32 mm - 0,918 Inches - anglo-amerikan height

If someone needs more information about this or that - please let me know.

Wikkid... B^)

Sorry, what does it mean "Wikkid… B^)"?

Georg

It means: "I enthusiastically approve, and demonstrate said approval by smiling widely and tilting my head in the idiosyncratic manner of George Clooney playing Batman."

Ehm.. yes..
Thank you very much for your definition :-)

Georg

Here's some more information. I got it from watching too much Ali G. Booyakasha! :^)
