(x) striped faces like this hand drawn type from loveworn.com - various {gang}

Seadreams

Hi,
I foud this beautiful hand drawn type from www.loveworn.com by Mario Hugo.
Amazing stuff! I have seen a few typefaces with the multiple lines from the 60's & 70's
but I am after some names, and ones that have been digitized. Or even more modern
one that have been made similar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here is another example. Typeface or hand drawn??

The style is known as "prisma" which was particularly popular during the 60s and 70s.

Chrurchard Design-Lines is just one of many variations. ITC AKI Lines is another, popular as a phototype film font but I haven't seen digitized.

Dazzle was recently released by Device.

Also:
Lusta
Pump Triline
Labyrinth
Surreal Post Indian

Thanks guys.

Norbert,

There was a digitization of ITC Aki Lines in the old Image Club Letterpress CD's (pre-Adobe acquisition era).

Thanks for the update, Mike.

During the heyday of phototype, I remember (and have old catalog samples) PLINC (Photo-Lettering Inc.) and Solotype offering customized "prisma/prismatic" versions of faces. Apparently much was done with lenses, soft-lenses and oil... in other words, smoke & mirrors.

Aki Lines is out there as 'Akka'.

Mike does that suggestion lead to questionable sites?

It wasn't a suggestion. It was a statement of fact. Anyone seeking a digital version of the typeface Aki Lines would, I think, find no other font - the ICG Letterpress CDs having not been offered for years.

I didn't do a Web search for it earlier, but try DaFont's offering.
