Hey, I thought so. I tried it on my computer but it seems a tad different. Maybe a different digitization?

Looks like Futura to me as well, but that G is decidedly not Futura.

Nah, look at the 'C'. The sample is definitely Futura-based at least.

If it wasn't for the G, i'd say Futura xtrabold from Scangraphic. But it isn't. And if it were wider, it'd be Flyer. But it ain't.

Hrmph. I think it is more than likely Scangraphic Futura X-Bold. It has more in common and is the correct weight. I rescind my "nice catch" statement. If you stare at the G long enough, the bottom is flat and ill-shaped. Mea culpa.

futura x-bold from an old collection i have from ICG. i searched high and low to find the one that matched the old lubalin work and that was the only one that had that "G".

Futura No2 Extra Bold released by URW in 1993 also seems to sport that alternate G.

Well, Sebastian, that is really good. The W has the high crotch as well as the O have the small counter.
