Hello,
I have been trying for the past week to contact the author who created the font " A Yummy Apology" every time I find an email address I get a failure response mailed back to me.
The authors site is supposed to be "http://www.moorstation.org/typoasis/designers/gemnew/" I've also tried to contact him by the various sites that stock this font but with the same response as above.
Its strange as I actually want to buy the commercial liscense to use this font for a project but I can t get hold of the Author, most would jump down your throat to sell you a license.
Anyone got any suggestions?
I would be open to using another similar font if anyone has any suggestions.

I never seen this one before, but I have a better suggestion for you... have a look at Café Mimi designed by Kanna Aoki, and released through Mark van Bronkhorst. Find it here;

I notice a bold weight have been added as well.

Cheers for the suggestion, I'll present them to the client to see if I can temp him.
Be careful purchasing MvB fonts if you are likely to want to make use them in a PDF: their standard EULA is rather restrictive, so you might want to check what they charge for an embedding licence.
I think you would be better off creating all-new original letter forms by hand and screw the EULA. That way you can own it and do what you want.
I'm not sure if I made my point. If you can't find the perfect font that works for your needs or the license is too restrictive why don't you design your own font. Start from scratch and make your own. Its easy to do. I know you can do it.
