(x) Looking for the sans Codent - proprietary font from Nike {Rob Carmichael}

edmuki

Anyone know which foundry designed the Codent family? Thanks.

EDIT: Here’s a sample.

I was unable to find any font by this name although the phrase ’codent font’ apparently means something in French. (Anyone know what it means?)

If you can post a sample of this font, maybe we will recognize it by another name.

Google language tools translate ’coden font’ as ’code make’, which in the context I saw this, one was an article about DNA and genetics, probably means something like ’encoding’.

Anyway, a picture of the font would be helpful, if you can show us one.

Could it be a proprietary font?

where have you seen/found this font?

Am I the only one that sees Helvetica with modifications?

That’s what I thought as well.

EDIT: Or maybe Univers or even MS Sans Serif (gasp!)

Codent is a proprietary font used by Nike, at least in their Nike+ department, if not elsewhere. I came across it on a job I did for them, but I’m fairly certain it isn’t out there for general use.
