What would be a good companion for Rosewood and/or Clarendon. I coould use sans or serif suggestions. Thank you.

Clarendon and especially Rosewood are colorful typefaces, that probably need some contrast from a clean cut sans serif. STALEMATE, SOPHISTO or even GRAFICZ could be the solution?
