Chicken or Rooster Dingbats...Anyone?

dylan

I'm looking for some dingbats that would contain silhouettes of a chicken and/or a rooster. I've done some digging today, but no luck. Can anyone point me to a font that would match this description?

Thanks,
Dylan

This may be too whimsical, but you could try T26's Chicken.

Thanks for the tip. I kept digging -- found a royalty free line drawing and traced it in Freehand.

Bawk! Bawk!

Again, thanks for the quick response, Meredith.

I wrote a great chicken and egg joke. Just let me know if you want to hear it?

You might also want to check the DF (Design Fonts) series from Letraset, as well as dingbat fonts from FontHaus and Elsner+Flake (the latter has a couple fonts that are all birds).

Also Scriptorium's Sillhouette and Funny Nature from URW++.

Oops, too late. Glad you found what you needed.

Gerald: Don't tease, man! Tell the joke!

Meredith: Good thinking. Thanks again. I forgot about the DF stuff.

Cheers, all.

Question: What came first, the chicken or the egg?
Answer: I have it on good authority it was the rooster!

Well done, Gerald. :-)

I know this is late, but I believe Golden Cockeral has a few nice chicken dingbats/silhouettes in it.

My favorite chicken anecdote is based on a song by Paul Simon of Simon and Garfunkel called "Mother and Child Reunion"

Apparently there is a menu item on most Chinese restaurants of the same name and is basically a chicken breast served with eggs. Kinda morbid but consider yourself enlightened :D

Stuart :D

> Haha. Oops, that's just Paul Simon. He had left Garfy.

... good thing, too! :-)

Haha. Oops, that's just Paul Simon. He had left Garfy.
