(x) infographiste - Ito {Kemi}

weeliam

Check this thread.
And also check FIG Script by Eric Olson for an alternative.

Also check out my blog where I have four or five vespertine related links.

that is not the vespertine font as such. it is an exact match for a squeezed version of ito regular:

AHA! I'm fairly certain of this one. I believe this one was done by a japanese type foundry called kinemamoon and the name of the font is "ito" which is #20 on their website. check em out at kinemamoon.com. lemme know if you think this is the one. just one problem... the site is in jappanese and unforutnately, i haven't been able to figgure out how to order the fonts they advertise on this site. anyhow... g'luck!

Kemi nailed it and Paul confirmed it, while we jumped to
conclusions without looking closer. That's life. Good one
Kemi & Paul!

Not that it matters, but I linked ito in the last bjork vespertine thread. I am still suspicious though that ito might be a reverse engineered typeface.

You might be perfectly right: I just said WE didn't look
close enough, that is including me. I really overlooked
the links, stupid me. Let me correct my mistake.

Sorryaboutthat...

look Yves,

for me the type ID board is all about the credit and fame associated with correclt IDing fonts. Without that, there's really no reason to come here.

:-)

you know what... i guess i identified the above posted type face correctly, but after looking at the other threads about the face used for vespertine, i readily agree that the one shown above is not the real deal. it comes close... but not quite the beauty that graces bj

Hi Karl, I noticed by rereading my post I forgot to add
a smiley to indicate I wasn't annoyed at you at all.
I don't know if you interpreted my "tone" correctly,
but I just wanted to be sure, as I DID sound grumpy
on the other thread. (I mean I did all this work and
he doesn't even remember the friggin' tutorial. Ugh!)

Furthermore, I just checked again and the link in the
original ID request doesn't work, so I can't make sure
the ID was correct which means technically I can't
credit it. :-(
