(x) Kylie font? - ITC Avant Garde Gothic Alternates {Adriano S}

anonymous

Hi you guys,

You've never let me down in the past but I'm looking for the font used on Kylie's new album, BODY LANGUAGE. I know it's a variation on the font used for her FEVER album (i.e. Avant Garde) but does anyone know its exact name and where I can download it?

Many many thanks!!!
Graham S

Avant Garde Alternates.

The proper name I guess would be ITC Avant Garde Gothic Alternates, but I don't know if they're available in digital form anymore.

There is a site in Austria or is it Austrailia but it doesn't seem to have a place you can buy the font.

Is it me or is that some of the worst typesetting I've ever seen.

Yeah... it's not very good, is it?

Adriano, I don't know how old you are but you should have seen the Lubalin years where everone wanted minus leading and tracking that ran everything together. I call it blob type

I'm young but I've seen some of that. Can't say it does anything for me (and I could group that with the tDR school of negatively tracked Helvetica Neue...).

According to the esteemed Mr Coles in this other recent thread on Avant Garde alternates:

Hurrah! Thanks again. You guys are the best...

The typesetting may be a bit rubbish but at least the album's cool (well, maybe...)

Cheers
Graham

Grant love that image what era is it from?

It's an ad for TWA from an old National Geographic I had kicking around the office. If I recall correctly, it was from the late

This just in: FontShop.com now has the Avant Garde Alternates.
They are Elsner+Flake's updated versions of Scangraphic's AG.
