Well actually this is FF Dynamoe Hard (the inversed Dynamoe) but I haven't found a reference.

I'm not familiar with Dynamoe Hard, but here's a link to FF Dyanamoe, which you could easily inverse yourself.

Well, Stephen, it should be a FontFont-typeface (therefore available at Fontshop, because our printer-description-file has the typical FF-icon on it). But we bought it in the 90ies, maybe it's not available anymore, ...

I think there have been a number of freebie homemade fonts based on scans of Dymo labeling. I suspect you could find some at Dafont, or other font sites.
