i had to look this word up... (i am a neutralized American residing in Sweden) so i amn't quite familiar with modern English vocabulary...
so i found this..
what the HEX is the font they use...that can make double-O's look like a skateboard..
As far as I know, those are GIF images that they use for the phonetic characters.
