João Pereira : ...

Anibody knows what are the typefaces os this project?

Finally something I know that wasn't too obvious.

Dagen, A Danish newspaper with a short-lived career, had everything designed by E-types. The typeface is custom and is a s far as I know not for sale – even though the Paper folded a couple of years ago.

You can check the design case at E-types website: http://www.e-types.com/visUKProjekt.asp?artikelID=163

or find more general information about the designers here: http://www.e-types.com

Thats just the same link as posted.

I did a quick check on Playtype, E-Types type collection, but couldn't find anything. The website is extremely user-unfriendly though, so there's a slight possibility I overlooked it.

Okay macgyver, here's some more info for you:

The typeface is called 'Press'.

It's still not for sale as far as I know.

As you can read on the E-types website it won an award. Here's some text:

e-Types has recieved the 'Certificate of Excellence in Type Design' by Type Directors Club in New York.

e-Types is awarded for the 34 fonts which were designed for the Danish daily DAGEN. The font family is named Press and it was selected by the judges together with 15 other typographies from all over the world. 120 proposals were sent to Type Directors Club.

e-Types and Press will be featured on exhibitions in Japan, Europe, the US and Canada. Furthermore the fonts will be presented in the Type Directors Club year book 2003, "Typography 24".

Thanks Peter_monrad. But i've read it or "Jeg har læst det." as you say in danish, right?

The typefaces for the newspaper "Dagen" were most likely drawn by the designer Jonas Hecksher of e-Types.

The typeface used for the paper is the one called "Press", which you can find on Playtype, if you can work out the navigation on the site of course ;)

Magnus

Oh, damn... Pressed that send button too late. Was working out links and stuff and then comes Peter...

Figures I couldn't find the typeface -- the Playsite website only shows Press Serif, not the Sans. I had nothing to go by. :^/

This is nice, feels like a cross of Bureau Grotesque and News Gothic. :^)

;-) to macgyver.

That's exactly how you say it in Danish!

Is it just me or does it look a bit like Trade Gothic?

You are right Yves, the site is not the most intuitive one, and of course the serif cut is not on there. ;^)

In fact it has a lot of similarity with Trade Gothic.

Anybody knows a nice serif/sans family for a newspaper
