2 simple sans serifs

cicifoo

I am commenting my own post :)... the top one looks close to Benton but streched and also many other differences
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fontbureau/benton-sans/

Still no clues to any of the two?

I’m really sorry — I did some research but couldn’t find anything. Your topic has had over 140 reads, so I guess other people are stumped as well.

Yeah, thanks anyway - must be custom jobs obviously...

I thought it might be custom from a system font. It looks very familiar, but couldn’t find anything close enough.

For your first one, I recognise that as being from the 6786
catalogue which was designed by Value and Service
(www.valueandservice.co.uk). I know that Value and Service
very rarely design there own fonts (although they did add
ligatures to Helvetica). I’ll be working a floor above them in a
month or so, so I could always ask for you :P, or you could
drop them an email

The second one I’m not sure. Looks a like Akkurat
(www.lineto.com) in the light weight, except most obviously,
Akkurat has a double storey ’g’ and this does not. But if you
look at that ’g’ it looks really quite badly drawn, so perhaps it
is Akkurat Light but with a custom ’g’. The uppercase looks
very similar.

Thanks... still don’t know the first one I’ll ask the authors... the second one is “Mercury” from Radim Pesko (he also did the Boijmans museum type with mevis and van deursen) it might still be a work in progress I think...

cicifoo, did you ever get anywhere with that first one? It’s really nice.
