I thought it was chalet but no.

Looks like some old '70s typeface.
I don't know what it is, but a good 'contemporary' alternative would be Meave's Rondana.

Doh. :-P

It's Blippo!

Blippo Bold, to be exact. Sadly, undigitized. :-(

Nay good Sir Simonson.

In a battle of the edits :-)
Bitstream Blippo, at myfonts is showing some stecilation:

Have you a photolettering, unstenciled version?

No, it really is Blippo. See for yourself:

Blippo attacked by the wonderful resolution of American VHS. ;(

Hildebrant.

Mark --

Are you certain that has never been digitised?
I swear I have seen this in 'recent' work, maybe It was just some of my old type specimens?

Hildebrant.

unknown

It's possible, but there is no official sanctioned version that I know of.

It used to be very widely available back in the '70s on headline setting machines and rub-down type. One among a relatively small universe of choices back then. You used to see it everywhere. I always thought it was slightly goofy, but aptly named. Sort of a hippy-dippy take on art deco.

unknown

Bravo! I should know better.
Hippy-Dippy would be a best seller.

BTW, I once designed (or rather, tried to design) something similar:

centrica

I think it was three years ago, my second attempt to design type.
