Hi,
This logo is for a urban spa with a very modern aesthetic. Their clients are late 20's to early 40's. I have drawn it from a combination of different typfaces. I need some help on the tracking and anything you think is not working.
Thanks, Lisa

yes it is a combination of a couple different fonts as i have mentioned, but i do not know what it is, it you could tell me so i can use it.
Thanks
I have found the proper typeface and used it. i need some feedback, opinions, or is there a typface that would go better with FF Tyson then avant guard?

I think you should try not spacing the letters and then tightening up the linespacing. This will get you closer to an exclamation point. I'd also suggest a lighter weight for vibe or a slightly heavier weight for salon|spa. I have a feeling that because you are trying to conjoin the lines you will have more luck with this.
sorry, new to the boards, so i don't know if its bad form to post image-based suggestions...i think you need to cheat bits of the face (make the 'e' a bit larger, make the ascenders on the "i" and the "b" taller, trim the divider line between 'salon' and 'spa') and go for a little contrast in weight between the tyson and futura (?)... and i agree with all other posters about tightening up the linespacing on 'vibe'...i'm attaching a jpeg to show what i'm thinking... anyways, a great idea lisa, hope the project goes well!

I like the style the original 'V' casts (not COMPLETELY sold on the shape) and feel that if the additional letters 'ibe' were created around matching the style, grace and slight "sharpness", devilish look you'd be on a winner.
I don't mind the inclusion of the exclamation mark, but not totally convinced that it's not taking the identity too far.
Looking good though.
I like it. Though i like the thinner weight of the origional. I don't particularly like the Avant Garde use or colour. What about all of the subtitle in red? Also they red in the logo will look a bit odd with just the i in red when not used with the subtitle. Might just make all the type the same colour.
And the ampersand isn't terribly interesting. maybe find a better one to use...with a different font altogethar :P
its ok. Iam sick and tired of ! being used in logos. I'd rather just see VIBE but it may not speak to your clientelle who could be the espresso drinking oh my god iam using my cell phone what about my nails types... just being honest and sarcastic at the same time.
Honestly, salon logos are tough the letter face is very stern and gothic you used and the ! is very scientific... think thinner, think cleaner.. drop the ! thats just my two cents worth of opinion though.
Joe
The last E in Vibe seems weak or thin to me next to the other characters. Both in the main sroke & the middle bar.
What if instead of the ! ( which I don't quite get the point of; even though the excecution is starting to work now. good job BTW! ) the i or the verical in the b were made of a wiggling line. It would be VERY 80's but... then again so is your font!
