Here is my first attempt at designing a typeface. It is inspired by modern type with serif/san serif identity issues. Please let me know what you think. It is definitely a work in progress so I am open to all input on revisions.

Purpose?
If I may ask, why do you ask about purpose ?
Context for a critique?
It is a display typeface for a graduate level typography class assignment. No purpose as of yet. It was inspired by an eroded typeface at a cemetary, thus the disconnected elements.
By purpose I mean text face or display or screen font...where your planning on putting it... etc. I think its very important.
It is a display font. I will be using it on a poster.
