i say check out hotels.com.. you can even search for hotels by their vicinity to famous locations (Madison Square Garden seems closest to that address you listed).

personally i’d recommend the Milford Plaza, but it’s not really nearby your address there.. it’s up just a few blocks from Times Square. nice hotel though, and reasonably priced considering the very central location.

Chris, may I recommend the Carlton Arms Hotel? An old NY friend of mine spoke well of it once, and I passed his tip on to some friends who were here last July for TypeCon... they liked it... not too expensive, either.

160 E. 25th St. (tel. 1-212-679-0680), between Third and Lexington Ave.

My old Let’s Go guide says, “54 spacious rooms, each decorated by a different artist.” Another good reason to check it out. :-)

the Pennsylvania Hotel is pretty freaky…

See you there, Chris. I’m saying with my son, downtown.

Those of us who are speaking are staying at the Sheration Four Points (Manhattan Chelsea) Hotel, 160 West 25 Street - 212-627-1888. It’s directly across the street from the TDC location.

Thank you all!

William, See you there!

Thomas, I booked a room at the Chelsea but was too late for the cheaper rate so I had to use my AARP rate :-)

You guys have a great time!

Chris — make sure you introduce yourself to Carol Wahler, Executive Director of the TDC (if you haven’t already), and Diane Collier, both long time friends and great people.

Carol has the most beautiful hair of almost anyone I know!

Besides you, Dan?
You can almost pass as relatives ;-)

Norbert,
Dare I use your name when I introduce myself and if I do, should I be ready to DUCK!!! :-)

ChrisL

PS: at least she has hair :-)

> should I be ready to DUCK!!!

Nope... get ready for a big smoochie kiss! ;-)

Well then, by all means! :-)
