Beaver typeface for a hardware store

vtu22_2

Hi everyone! I have an upcoming project about creating a brand identity for a hardware store. My concept is based on a beaver and wood textures, but I’m having a lot of trouble finding a typeface to fit this design.

Can anyone suggest for me a typeface that is suitable for the logo? I was thinking a font that’s chipped or textured that reflects this nature.

If anyone can suggest another typeface or one that would fit better, that’ll be great too!

Thanks.

Vincent.

How about the lovely Chase by Rian Hughes?

You might find this item useful. The romance copy mentions porcupines, but it's probably equally suitable for beavers.

Your client might also like the "chiseled" lines of Emigre's elegant Vendetta...

Chase looks great doesn't it, and Vendetta is a peach. If you should find that you are taking things a bit too seriously, this is good for a larf http://www.dafont.com/crazy-beaver.font

If you find the Chase angle interesting, Grot Wood might be worth considering.

Wow! Those are some really nice suggestions everyone! Thanks guys! =)

I really like Chase, Grot Wood, and Vendetta cause they got a really nice design or texture to it.

Are there any fonts that look like they've been chewed i.e. bitten off maybe?? I was thinking more of a funny theme generated from the typeface.

Nonetheless, I very much appreciate your opinions and recommendations! Keep the comments rolling! =)
