(x) MS Windows font, similar to Textile - Lucida Big Casual {Mike F}

Paul Solomon

I'm looking for a font similar to the one in this image. I hope the attachment shows up(!)
[also see the logo "Sunbelt" at: http://www.sunbeltsnacks.com/]; if not, I think that it is Textile, an Apple font. Can anyone suggest a similar font in a Windows format? The closest I've found so far is called
Rostrum ( http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/canadatype/rostrum/ ). Another somewhat similar one is
Challenge Bold ( http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/letraset/challenge-bold/ ). Neither is as close as I'd like.

I see this font used very often on food packaging - cereals, etc - and that's the look I'm after.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much,
- Paul

Sample? Maybe custom?

I think you might like Xavier Dupré's FF Tartine

FF Tartine Script TF Black is terrific, and a great suggestion; thanks!

It might well work for me. It's perhaps a bit more flourishy (sorry, I'm not well versed in typography vocabulary) than would be ideal (Textile is quite a bit plainer), so any other suggestions would also be appreciated!

Thanks again,
- Paul

I was going to recommend Lucida Casual Italic, which has a great deal in common with Textile. No coincidence, as both were created by by Kris Holmes. It would have required some artificial bolding.

Never mind that, though. I just happened across the recently released Lucida Big Casual T Demi Italic - which is a veritable match for Textile.

Maybe you want to give a chance to some others packaging oriented type designs like Chocolate or Felipe :)

Yes, Lucida Big Casual T Demi Italic is indeed a near-exact match for textile, which is just what I asked for - Thanks so much!

But now that you folks have recommended these other great choices, I've got a difficult decision to make. Which is great! Thanks!

[Note to alepaul and Bald Condensed: you guys are mind readers; great suggestions!]

Paul
the packaging labe design world is oversaturated of Textile because it was a system font. So, if you want to generate a new brand package ID I suggest a new option or maybe a custom work. Best
