How to remove global guidelines in FontLab 4.6

Pieter van Rosmalen0 votes

Hello. I like to remove global guidelines in FontLab 4.6. How can I do that? I can't find it in the manual...
Thanks in advance.
Pieter

Manual - pages 310-313

Editing Layers > Guides (active) ; Ctrl + click the mouse = popup menu

Hello David,
No, it's not working. It's working voor local guidelines, but I like to remove global guidelines. And that's what I can't find in the big book.

what edition do you have? 1940? :^)

Local is blue; Global is red. Ctrl + click > Popup Menu: Help/Align/Delete/Guideline is/Properties

(see page 313 Guidlines Popup Menu)

do you see that?

Peter,

go to View / Lock Layers and unlock all layers :}

Hello Adam,

Thanks, that's it. Why do I have to unlock all layers first and not only the guides layer?

Pieter

Yyy, for some reason, in FontLab 4.6, the global guides are controlled not by the guidelines layer but by some other layer, vertical metrics I think. I don’t have 4.6 on the machine I’m typing this so I was not able to check for sure. I knew it was one of the layers but not the guidelines layer, so I told you to unlock all just to make sure :D

Thanks Adam!
