By sheer accident while researching for an article I came accross a free font download from General Mills... Alpha-Bits font!
So if any of you need a tasty new font for FREE, here ’tis.
They even have an Alpha-Bits font EULA :-)
Plus they try to educate cereal munching kids about the orgins of LETTERS!
I should have spelled:
“TYPOPHILES KERN ALPHA-BITS”
as that is how passionate we feel about type! :-)

What I was actually looking for was an article in Money that stated General Mills was having problems creating a healthier alternative to sugar laden Alpha-Bits by trying whole oats.
The problem was the shapes would not hold well creating lumpy serifs! LOL!
I wanted to find the actual article to post.
Well, Paul, at least we could add their definition of Origin of Letters to the Typowiki.
As long as they don’t make a Cerial Bouma Killer :-)
