How come I don’t see the ’aalt’ and only ’mark’ & ’ccmp’?

You only see what features are already in the currently open font. You can add more easily enough....

ahhhhh....I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. The ’aalt’ is already in the font.

Ah, you mean *that* OpenType panel, with the previewing of the effects of features. Check which language you have selected, maybe? Perhaps you do not have the feature registered for the currently selected language system?
