Breggy - logotype

Obviously this is hand drawn but I'm pretty sure it was traced, from an enlarged photocopy, from some printed piece.....etc, etc. Been watching it devolve for 20 years. Hoping to bring this poor thing back to life. Any ideas?

My question is, why revive or resurrect it? ...it's pretty hideous.

Hideous.... agreed. But it's on thier trucks, uniforms, calendars, travel mugs.... It's a fight I can't win.

Though that's clearly not it, your sample comes dangerously close to the deliciously chunky Derek Italic.

Black Grotesk could be a viable starting point.
