Hi

I’d like to find a good match, I’m using a garamond three and would like to mix it with trade gothic is that good?
Would it be better with Avenir? I don’t want to use frutiger typeface (I know Adrian Frutiger designed the Avenir)

Thanks in advance

Mareek is this the same question as the other thread?

Classics usually mix well together.

Take a look at Agenda Sans.

I’m sorry I’m new here and I might have posted two times the same question…

It is just I designed a logo based on the garamond but then really worked on it so it looks quite different
I’d like to work with display typeface that will goes with the logo…

Do you consider Trade as a classic?

no it is for a display logo… that will go with an existing logo based on garamond but quite complex… sorry and my english is quite confusing

Agenda is quite nice face but I think I would prefer Avenir…

Go for it.

last question between Trade gothic and avenir what would be the best match with garamond 3?

unknown

I think Avenir matches good with calligraphic serifs like Veljovic’s ITC Gamma or ITC Esprit. I don’t think a Garamond-Avenir mix would work well. Garamond No 3 — Trade Gothic sounds better.

A.

Are you sure you want to use -the misnamed- Garamond 3?
It’s so cloying. But I guess maybe it could be a cloying product…
