Come on at least make yourself if you're posting this! :D Here I am...I think!

L'anarchist c'est moi!

(Okay, so it would have been a more accurate portrait about 18 years ago...)

Haha your post made me laugh, John.

ChrisL

Nick! It's YOU man! :-)

ChrisL

Aha. I was going to post this link, but chickened out. Glad someone posted it.

Alright.

What happened to "Dude"?
:-)

ChrisL

Here is my image

BTW those spots are being used as freckles in this instance. :^/

This is the closest I get...

Nick, that is frighteningly realistic.

Dude, this is WAY too accurate.

Here I am…

Why stop with self-portraits? I started trying to do Matthew Carter, but ended up with...

How do you post a picture? I get the screen shot but when its a photoshop file how do you upload it? Brain Cramp

Dan, there should be a little 'Insert image' link below the Comment field. Note that you need to have the Flash 8 Player installed.

Dan, you need the flash 8 player - then the image attach will work. 'A player?' you ask... Yes a player.

But it works.

I've just thought of a great new Typophile feature. In addition to the Typeface ID Board, we can have the Type Designer ID Board. How quickly can you identify this famous type designer:

I got the image-thing working now, thanks!

Lovin' the Gary Munch, John.

Guess who!?

hhp should enjoy that one!

Paul,

You got it! :-)

I see Hair Reynolds has nailed it all the way from Germany :-)

ChrisL

That must be Tiffany black :-)

ChrisL

Somebody else from Typophile...

Is that meant to be Thomas P?

Eben,

Actually, it's what I imagine Chris looking like from that one picture in drag and the avatar... ;-)

Here's me:

Eben,

Here's Thomas P! :-)

Lauri,
"I resemble that remark" Pretty darn close!
ChrisL

Mark,
You look MUCH younger that that picture :-)

ChrisL

> we can have the Type Designer ID Board

Good idea :)

who's that:

Ahemmm...

I thought I should try for a more up-to-date self-portrait, in case anyone tries to use this thread as a reference for identifying me at a conference.

Matthew Carter is really tricky, but it's something like this:

Unfortunately, the ponytail options in South Park are quite limited. Matthew has much better hair than this. I thought about editing it in Photoshop, but decided I liked the discipline of trying to make likenesses with the limited options available. The glasses are the wrong shape, but there's a great photo of Matthew looking over the top of his glasses like this.

It is very difficult to get a good selection for Gerry Leonidas' hair, but the classroom provides nice context:

Ed Benguiat. I wish there were an option for a proper flight jacket.

Jerry Calona?

ChrisL

That's me.
Those aren't clouds. It's the snow we got today.

K.

Yves:

Not quite condensed enough. =^D

I tried making Yves but yeah I wasn't happy with the lack of Condensed options :-/

Actual me:

Self projected me:

Héctor

Norbert, HILARIOUS.

This is fun, makes me want to get a haircut.
