Can anyone ID the Cherokee font in this postcard? It seems that it may be hand-drawn but I just want to make sure. Thanks. Also if you know of anything similar that would work, let me know as well please.

Those "Greetings from" cards are classic examples of hand drawn faces. Let's see if we can come up with similar stuff.

The most commonly seen "Greetings from" fonts on old American postcards like this are Brush Script, Kaufmann, and Gillies Gothic. The one you have uses Brush Script.

Oh, right. You wanted to know about what was used for "CHEROKEE". I agree with what Yves said.

Thierry Puyfoulhoux's Bigticy* is ideally suited for such purposes.

* FontShop apparently changed the type family's name to avoid being hunt down by some nutcase in Chicago.

How about Jim Dandy for metropolitan city-like postcards?

Two more: Fat Albert and maybe Cuba.
