(x) Heinrich Böll Stiftung - (similar to) Gravur Condensed {Dav}

olvradam

Hi,

I am looking for the logo’s font of the »Heinrich Böll Stiftung«:

http://www.boell.de

Does anybody know this font? I thought it could be DIN or Mittelschrift but both typefaces don’t seem to match exactly.

Thank you in advance :-) ,

Oliver

looks a bit like ISOCTEUR. it comes with autodesk CAD-program, but i found it marked as a free font for download once.. (thats how i found it..). cant find it now, though.. sorry.

Now thats one nicely kerned logotype.. :)
( So, Why did they use a monospaced font for this.? )

’Gravur Condensed’, by Cornel Windlin, may be an alternate..

Dav, formlos

Hi,

yes, the »Gravur Condensed« is a very good alternative: Thanks! I am agreeing with you that the kerning of the existing logo is really terrific. I did not design it but I am going to correct it :-)

Oliver

»Gravur Condensed« has rounded tips. The logo you link to does not have rounded endings.
The logo font is much more like a »DIN 1451« or a variation thereof. In fact, it is not DIN, however, it is so close as to call it a variation of DIN.
The upper bowl of the capital B is smaller on the logo. DIN’s capital B has identically sized bowls both upper and lower. Also, the endings on the capital S finish with a straight edge on the logo, whereas DIN’s capital S does not have such a feature.

More searching is needed.
