(x) Looking for fonts similar to norway.com logo - various {gang}

missha

Hi!

I love aeroportal font (designed for the www.norway.com logotype) and I am searching for a similar font. No matter if it's a pay font.

Any suggestion?

Thanks a lot!

( Maybe this should rather be in the Type ID Board, than in General Discussions.. )

Some Alternates.: 'Dispose', by Lee Fasciani; 'Cocon', by Evert Bloemsma; 'Variable', by Matthew Desmond; 'Mr Giacco', by Diego Giaccone; 'Curvature', by Adam Hayes; 'Saarikari', by Joe Kral; 'Sari', by Hans Reichel..

Dav, formlos

How about Stalemate Light?

Sorry to suggest one of mine, but it's not dissimilar:

Don't apologize, Chester, work it!

While you are there check out: ApexSans too!

I think this is GE Inspira by Michael Abbink customized...

Somewhat a "my font too" post - and late - but hopefully of interest ;-)

A year ago I released a font whose italics looks almost exactly the same (if you straighten them up ;-):
http://www.luth.no/default.asp?Searchstring=Jacobs+Sans&side=fontprisliste

Incidentally this (my) font is used for the logo of the official Norway pages for norwegians (norge.no & noreg.no) whereas Aeroportal is used on all official Norway pages for foreigners (like norway.com).

These two fonts have been developed independantly by two different norwegians, so this look must really be norwegian in its soul ;-).

The web pages/designs were also done by two different design companies...

Puzzled.

Jacob

I'm pretty late here, but I anyway: I designed the Aeroportal font for The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their official communication on Norway – the official site. Norway.com is not by the MFA, but they are somehow allowed to use it. The font is an original design and was developed before GE Inspira. More info here

It's funny that your design is so close to mine, Jacob - and that your client is also pretty close to mine.
