Fruit pulp logo

Joaquin Buitrago0 votes

Hello:
I am a graphic designer who's neither good at type assessing nor logo designing.
However I was asked to help with a logo design for a new small company wanting
to market fruit pulp which will be used to make 'homemade' smoothies.
I thought the Pump typeface was friendly and echoed somehow fruit forms.

I wonder if you could help with some suggestions
Thank you.

Test logo for a fruit company

I'm sorry to say this feels pretty lost. And the letterforms are mostly unhappy (except the "y") and certainly not working together.
Since I think you have to start from scratch, and you don't believe you're good at designing logos, I think you need to hire a logo pro.

Depending on the "mood" of the enterprise, try various fonts such as:
1. Appleton, by Decade Typefoundry: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/decade-typefoundry/appleton/#index
2. Tropical, by Sudtipos: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/sudtipos/tropical/
3. Typnic™ by Corradine Fonts: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/corradine/typnic/

A good first step is to go to a site like myfonts.com, search for, say, "fruit"... and Bob's your uncle !

If you want your logo to be in a font everybody has...

Cheers, Michael. I think your tip worked out well.
Hrant, I know what you mean. Thank you for your trying to help.

Joaquin... good to hear it... hope you post whatever the final design turns out to be... just curious...

Cheers,
