Scripts needed?

Joel Santos0 votes

Hey guys!

I'm thinking on returning to typography once again (it must be the third time). I've been concentrating myself in code essentially for the past years and I think I will continue with it but every time I come around my type books, my "still to finish" work or whenever I receive some money from MyFonts on one of the fonts I have that I wouldn't use I think: "Should I get back?"

So, as somewhat a transition, "what if I started by doing some scripts that would help me and other developers?"
I'm a pretty good developer so I don't think this would be that hard.

Are you finding a lack in that subject? Something you would like to see done?

Joel, could you also post this information on TypeDrawers?

I'll create one there.
Edit: How do you post there? I can't find a button to do so! I can't do a thing there. Also... made an infraction by not making my username my name and there is no way to change it sigh...

You should be able to change the name. Several have signed up using handles and were asked to change it, which they did.
As for posting, upper-left under your avatar and name is a box which reads "New Discussion". Click on that and proceed. I think the appropriate Category would be Type Design Software for coding. You must be signed in to post.

Sorry for being a noob but for some reason I can't see anywhere that "New Discussion".
I just registered is it because of of that?

At that link, at the bottom of the page is a link to ask a Moderator about the problems you are having, and they can help you to make the name change too.

Sorry for being a pain but... Tried that and I also can't send messages.

I've asked a Moderator there to help you.

Thanks! You're awesome. My membership was approved and now I can post it there and make the right changes.

You do not mention anywhere for what software you'd write these scripts for?
