Revival fonts (tips, brief, suggestions)

Hi guys,

i want to make a revival of some fonts makes in 90's in my country, they have a poor construction but a powerful conceptual and historical value. I search for some tips or brief to take in consideration to make that, you have any suggestion? thanks!

First you have to worry about getting the OK from the designers of the originals.
