Similarity to Fortesque, Lancet Wounded, Permeke Semibold, Feasby Semibold

Hello!

I really love the shapes of the serif fonts like - Fortesque, Lancet Wounded by Sang Mun, Feasby Semibold by Raf Rennie or Permeke Semi Bold by Josse Pyl. I'm looking for some similar fonts with this specific type of style, which are available for purchase.

Anyone has some good tips?

Thank you

Larish Alte by Radim Pesko comes to mind. Unfortunately his site is down today.

One of the trendy ones, Stanley Poster: http://www.optimo.ch/typefaces_Stanley.html

Out of curiosity, can you tell me what it is about this style that draws you? Is it the angularity and wedge serifs, or is it the intentional wrongness, the unpredictable weirdness? What sort of work you're doing? I'm sincerely fascinated about why these wonky serifs are in fashion.

I guess it’s just the 2010s version of grunge?

Two possible factors:
– It's a knee-jerk reaction against our glossy, polished daily lives.
– Making fonts is hipper than ever, but making a whole one from scratch is hard as always. So you take an existing font, "customize" it with some slipshod artsy modifications, and try to get famous.

I think it's in part an "evolution" from the faux vernacular clumsy sans to the faux sign painting clumsy serif.
