Vintage Sheet Music

malbright

Greetings! I'm wondering what might come close to the words "Joyeuseté" and "Ravelet".

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks team!

It's French. No surprise that JOYEUSETÉ is a Didot.
Consider: Fashion Didot

Not quite as close, but an alternative: Spire

Resurrecting your old request only - http://typophile.com/node/105415
Former suggestions for 'JOYEUSETE': Bordeaux, Torino Condensed, Onyx, Bodoni Poster Compressed, Fashion Didot, Moderno FB, Arsis, Ambroise François, Ian Party's GRAZIA and L'OFFICIEL (with Maxime Buechi), Stiletto bespoke typeface for Stiletto magazine by Stéphane Elbaz
Relay also Don's previous comment on 'RAVELET', the 2 /E look slightly different so possibly hand-done...

Thanks Ryuk, for mentioning my previous comment on the lettering on the sheet music cover being hand done. I should have repeated my observation that everything on the cover is lithographed or engraved.
None of the fonts mentioned are an exact match and most are much too wide, except for Spire and possibly Bordeaux.
If anyone wants to compare the sheet music cover to Ian Party's Grazia and L'Officiel, note that the links mentioned no longer work, but a specimen of Grazia can be seen at http://typecache.com/Ian_Party/ The website http://www.ianparty.com/ is not currently available.
