HARRY POTTER WANTED POSTER

Colleen Prevost

I purchased both Grotesque Bold by Wooden Type Fonts and Rama Gothic Exp Heavy by Flat-it, top suggestions by Find-My-Font, but it isn't either one.

Any idea?

I didn't yet find a match, but, looking at the scratches on the same letters, I can tell that the font used was already distressed.

Too compressed but very similar effect: Headlined http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/thinkdust/headlined/

Perhaps a little too battered; Mr. Black https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/hipopotam/mr-black/

Dafont has a big selection of "eroded" fonts http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=107&fpp=100&text=ADVICE+WANTED
Perhaps one might work as a substitute.
No guarantee as to the legitimacy of these fonts. Some are based on rips of digital fonts created by other fontmakers, which are then eroded or otherwise abused. But there is some interesting original amateur work.

Another likely source: http://www.waldenfont.com/ (same disclaimer Don gave on Dafont applies here).

I have begun to think it is an exremely modified version of GrotRough by Steve Kettell

Distortion in the example above isn't right, however I'm still working on it :)
I have written to Warner Bros. asking for help. I am hoping they will reply and be able to answer lynnyuxin in his post http://typophile.com/node/121014 as well.

Thanks all.
