Dry transfer font name?

jch02140

Anyone know the name of this font and if there is an equivalent of the digital font available?

The image was found within a search with google and the site that hosted that image was gone but somehow the image still available...

Mesquite, apparently: http://www.flickr.com/photos/willceau/3450731125/ (Found using Google's search by image.)

No-one in that thread has been able to spot a digital equivalent, unfortunately.

This appears in a 1980 VGC catalog as Mesquite. It's marked as a VGC original - although sometimes that proved to be a false claim.

I know of no digital version.

Thanks for identifying the font and the info. :)

So close to Bullion by Face Photosetting (distributed by Letraset), it hurts. Nick Curtis did a revival of Bullion called Bully Pulpit, in shadow and plain variants.

The type in question probably is a VGC original. Definitely seen it many times before.

According to my old Letraset Product Manual, Bullion Shadow was created by Face Photosetting.

You're absolutely right, Don!
