That's it, Colin! Nice job. Right on the nose.
Could it be a version of Century?
Or maybe Linotype Centennial?
I don't know. In fact, I didn't even know Euclid existed until this thread.
This is what I found on the MathType web site:
MathType for Windows includes the Euclid font set to give a document's text and mathematical notation a consistent, industry-standard look. In addition to including hundreds of additional math symbols, Euclid fonts include Blackboard Bold (double-stroke) and Fraktur (German Black Letter) alphabets. They also include fonts that allow you to create a document in Word that looks like it was typeset in TeX/LaTeX's Computer Modern font. (http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/win/samples/default.htm#tex)
Someone needs to make good math fonts. I hate my textbooks. But that's a story for another day.
Sorry, Chesh. Threw me for a loop. I didn't know someone would want to take the time to clone Computer Modern, especially when PS versions are already available. Guess they needed TT, who knows.
Jim Parkinson's Sutro Extra Bold is close.
Oh, and I stand corrected on my previous statement regarding Franklin Gothic. Elsner & Flake's ATF Franklin Gothic sterling *does* indeed have a loop.
Champion Gothic Heavyweight
That's funny. I was thinking one of the Shire types.
Neutraface Display Titling
It's fine that you show up late, Yves, but really, the least you could do is bring drinks with you...!
Back to being on topic, that's a pretty good quiz, Colin. I feel like I've been through all the Garamonds, Hoefler Text, Sabon, and I can't remember what else, and I haven't seen those delicate serifs yet. Hope I didn't miss something in there...
