Alexander McQueen Branding

Patrick Altair

I'm wondering this is a genuine typeface or just custom type for the logo? It doesn't seem like it was ever actually used by Alexander McQueen. Unfortunately, I can't find any information about it online.

Looks like they adjusted it a little. Thank you!

I think DoublePlusGood is very similar, but there are distinct differences (the A, R, and Q being the most obvious). They adjusted it a great deal, if that typeface was the basis.

I can't find anything closer...

Apparently I was too hasty to conclude it was DoublePlusGood. Thanks guys for checking and my apologies for the over-statement. Bella Stencil F37 might work pretty well too. /R and /Q come definitely closer, switching default /C for alternate and adding (virtually) closing triangles to /A, /M and /N should get you pretty close, possibly even closer than DoublePlusGood.

Since I couldn't find anything closer, I wasn't trying to discredit the ID--just pointing out the modifications needed to make DoublePlusGood work.

Thanks for introducing me to Bella Stencil and Face37....
