Serif font — Markus

Hello,
wondering what this font is called?
Thanks in advance!

Font:
Dear Sir / Madam
Solved By:

Well to be honest, it is called Gill Facia. Radim Pesko just stole it.

Apparent source used to make the font.
Eric Gill's Facia, designed for signwriters at W H Smith & Sons shops circa 1925.

Also Colin Banks made a typeface for Monotype with the name Gill Facia. https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/mti/gill-facia-mt/

Also available under that name: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/mti/gill-facia-mt/

@typographica It appears to be based not on Gill Facia, but rather this signwriting guide → http://typophile.com/node/100875#comment-544834 … Still should credit Gill.

Florian is very diplomatic. I’d rather see Pesko draw something original for once.

From the link in Florian's tweet, another digital interpretation: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/smith-hands/english-engravers-roman/

I see we are covering ground that is already well traveled. I prefer the original lettering to any of the interpretations. More fluid and inviting.
Correct an error in my earlier post. Should be 1905 not 1925.
