Ingmar Bergman's "Persona" 1966 movie title

U_z

I'm trying to find the font used in the opening credits of the 1966 movie "Persona" by Ingmar Bergman.

http://Here are the credits on video

The O's are similar to the ITC Luna typeface.

Thanks a lot for your help.

It looks like Florida (http://e-daylight.jp/design/fonts/type/f/florida.html), don't know of any digital version.

a digital alternate: http://Kurosawa Sans by Neil Summerour [T-26, 2002]

Hans Moehring's Florida of 1932 is echoed to some degree by Robert Stark's Stark Debonair of 1975 http://e-daylight.jp/design/fonts/type/s/stark-debonair.html. This was digitized by Micky Rossi as Retro Super Skinny http://www.subflux.com/Fonts/FontsRecre_Retro.htm and http://www.subflux.com/

For an extensive list of typefaces in this style, you can look here: http://typophile.com/node/67084#comment-394345 (that's how I identified it, via here: http://typophile.com/node/81517).

Great call Riccardo! Some more alternatives but unfortunately, nothing really spectacular: Seconda Round, Soft and XtraSoft, Accent Graphic, Minerva, Peignot Round, Carisma, Euro Sans

We now have many suggestions.
The question is: Which of these is the best match for Hans Moehring's Florida of 1932? Here is a larger scale specimen for comparison:

Note the that the horizontal arms on _E_ and some other letters seem to have a wedge shape.

What I find particularly charming is the asymmetric |O| contrast, a feature almost never seen in typefaces (except maybe those which try to be playful).

Well done ! It seems indeed to be the Florida, too bad it does not exists in digital version.

The ITC Luna is for now the only one I found to have this crescent shaped O which was what striked me in the first place, but it has too much flair for the purpose I want.
The Kurosawa and Carisma are my two favorites right now. In my opinion, they both have this old yet modern feel to them.

Thanks a ton for your help and suggestions, I will definetly dig deeper in the lists !

Cheers

REVISED to remove excess detail.
Carisma has similar terminal structure to Venus but has less contrast.
Consider _O_. The rhs of the _O_ in Venus is monoline with the stroke about as thick as the top and bottom stroke of Carisma Light. The lhs stoke is almost as thick as Carisma Regular.
The rhs curved strokes of _B_, _D_, _P_, and _R_ as well as the rhs stroke for _U_ are similarly monoline.
Note differences in _G_, _R_, _M_, _J_, _W_, and _Q_ which has a tail similar to Retro Super Skinny.
I wonder which of the many other fonts suggested come as close as Clarisma or closer than Clarisma.
