trying to find out what in which typeface "HOLLYWOOD COSTUME" is displayed on the front page of this site. Saw it in print when walking past LACMA and although it reminds me of a humanist Futura a little bit, I haven't been able to figure out what it is exactly..but it's beautiful and bold!
Thanks in advance

FUTURA PT HEAVY
Solved By:

Sorry but I do see Futura...

It looks like Futura PT (Heavy) by ParaType, probably a bit further emboldened.
Other versions of Futura (i.e. Linotype, Adobe, Berthold) look also close but they seem to luck this kind of |S| & |W|

Edited; see next post for contrast illusion corrected
Futura PT Bold compared to poster

Looks like bold is the best weight for the match.
Also bear in mind the well known visual effect of white letters on black makes the weight of letters look heavier.

So the letters in the poster are actually a lighter weight than Futura PT Bold! See how visual perception is a trickster.
Dear reader, you don't have to believe me. You can duplicate these results using a screen grab of the original image, which is larger scale than shown here, and edit to reverse colors.
