Hi Guys,
I need to generate something similar to the poster attached - looking for a display face that would be a good base to work with... Any ideas?
Thanks!
A.
Fairly heavy condensed thick and thin lettering with distinctive terminals, and a clean casual but not sloppy flavor.
Not a lot of digital substitutes.

Two which share some trait/feel with the sample:

On the other hand, you could start with a condensed (or a combination of condensed and non-condensed) high-contrast sans like Radiant and recreate the quirkiest letters.
This is a cool poster. (Thanks Riccardo for bringing it to my attention.)
Would it be possible to post this on Flickr? I'd love to be able to add it to this group:

Might be interesting to try and identify the person who did the poster lettering in 1940.
_VÅRUTSTÄLLNINGEN I NATIONALMUSEUM KONST KONSTANTVERK_ seems to be Swedish for _SPRING EXHIBITION IN THE NATIONAL MUSEUM CONSTANT ART WORKS_ A place to start might be the museum's website http://www.nationalmuseum.se/

I had he same idea with Johan: Artworks in a "Work-In-Progress" state.
I can even imaging an exhibition room having multiple copies (sculptures, paintings) of the same artwork at different construction stages.
Even better: The "last-stage" artwork could be such that you can jump again to the first one and continue in circles :)
