Just trying to identify this font. Any help would be grateful. A font similar would be good too.

Interlock lettering in the style made famous by Ed Benguiat but I can't recall offhand whether this precise one was made into a font
Ed Interlock from House is good http://www.houseind.com/fonts/edbenguiatfonts. As are the several Interlock fonts at Myfonts.

Can't find an exact match.
You may be able to modify Mercado Sans by Matt Desmond [MADType, 2011] to approximate your sample.

What are you seeing, Fivos?

Ricardo do you mean that my suggestion is a long shot or is it totally irrelevant?
You can see bellow what I see and what I suggest as staring point (Mercado Sans - in black).
Maybe I'm just getting older :)

Same movie, different lettering in similar style.

More wonderful unstructured lettering.
I wonder if someone has matched up the original lettering artists with the various designs.
O.K. 'nuff from me for now...
Don

Fivos, your idea makes sense.
You could use a fairly conventional font as a base and edit the outlines to approach the design. Since we have no further lettering in the exact style of the movie this could work.
This would definitely be an original artistic creation and could be quite interesting. Better than ripping off the existing interlock fonts.
Don

Yes, after the initial shock, I understood it ;-)
But then, at least for the |o|s, a superelliptical sans would probably work better.
