Seeking "handwritten" appearing Cyrillic and Greek fonts

Mary McDonald-Lewis

Hi!

I need 2 fonts, both of which must look like handwriting: one for the Greek alphabet, and one for Russian (Cyrillic).

Text is meant to be set in 1730, in an old book.

This is a time-sensitive request -- thanks for any help you can provide!

Thanks!

Mary

These typefaces have glyph sets that support Cyrillic:
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/paratype/peter-skoropis/
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/nikolai-sirotkin/taumfel/
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/paratype/federico/
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ihof/p22-dearest/ [Also supports Greek]
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/glc/1695-captain-flint/
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/paratype/pushkin/

Only found one other handwriting typeface that could pass for 18th century that supports Greek:
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ihof/p22-operina/ [Greek only supported in Operina Pro; also supports Cyrillic]

Other forum members will likely be able to suggest others....

If you're looking for formal handwriting, for Cyrillic there's this: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/paratype/roundhand-bt/

Thanks so much, you all. VERY much appreciated. I'm dialect coach for the NBC TV show GRIMM, and also provide all written language requirements for the show, which are plentiful! When doing so, ordinarily I'm seeking written translations that the art dept then "handwrites," fundamentally copying the typed text. This works for Latin and many other foreign languages, but the dept hasn't got the skillset to effectively navigate the Cyrillic accurately.

This will hopefully provide a solution. In the meantime I'm hoping my original translators take on handwriting it for us, if need be.

Thanks again!

Problem solved! Thanks so much kthomps5 and riccard0!

From my art director:

"Call off the handwriting, these fonts are awesome. And I can use them for future episodes, too! I LOVE FONTS."

(You'll see these in text form on episode #407 of GRIMM, "The Grimm Who Stole Christmas." That will be your help you'll see on screen.

Many thanks all!

As a fan of the show, I'm very glad to have been of service.

All the best....
