Alternative to United Sans for the web
I do not know of another family as extensive as United that could be used as a webfont. House has prepared some of their fonts for screen display, for example Neutraface used on their own site and the New Yorker’s. Perhaps if you contacted them you might be able to work something out?
Web fonts similar to United but not as extensive

Abolition http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/hold-fast-foundry/abolition/
Yeah, ummm, contact House, please.
