Bodoni has a fine serif not a slab serif, e.g Memphis, typewriter etc. Do you want suggestions for fine serif or slab serif?

Thanks Don, admittedly I didn't explain myself well. I can't see a fine serif like Bodoni working well in digital at anything other than display size so I need a slab that works well down to smaller sizes for standard copy legibility that I can offer as an alternative.

You could try Monotype's eText version of Amasis.

Giza RE and Ibis RE from Font Bureau's Reading Edge collection could work very well.

Nick Shinn's Bodoni Egyptian Pro also looks really good at small sizes.
