I already liked Spanner a lot (RXC is one-of-a-kind), but now it has new meaning for me! :-)

One suggestion: I'd like to be able to lift it (with some effort), so maybe you should make one about half the weight?

Here's an idea:
Have RXC lounging back in a wireframe metal chair*, with one leg crossed high over the other - matching the structure of the glyph/sculpture.

* Or maybe in thin air, using a blue key or something.

your sculpted logo reminds me of the letter sculptures by Takenobu Igarashi. theyre amazing. ive been working on some 3d letter sculputures, im trying to do the whole alphabet, maybe.

Igarashi is so money. I found his website but it just has his recent sculpture work, i cant find any of his 2d work online.

I have so far used this Sculpted A in a new self-promotional. Printed in 4 color process + spot metallic silvery/blueish pantone 8180/8181 mix
The Metallics looked really dull on screen so I converted that plate to white for showing here on the typophile site.

As I mentioned earlier I will be using this sculpture in a PsyOps / Design Alchemy co-promotional and upload as soon as it is finished for critique.

Is a great idea to work with typography in urban proyects as a sculpture. I think that the B-boys, and grafitti have to study more architecture.
In my personal wave, i´m study the 3-d grafitty
style and i imagine this as a new kind of urban expression, with more impact!

Thanks Miguel. I wish I could do a lot more of this type of sculpted work. The cost and time factor is sadly too much for most clients and too expensive for personal expression.

hey Ole, I can't tell exactly what kind of media your self promotional is- it looks like it could be the cover of a portfolio sampling, or a postcard/mailer thing. looks tight.

The promo is eye candy that will be mailed with a letter of introduction, etc. Also promotional for the next website we are doing (in the works).

I don't understand why you've chosen this way for your promotional card.

Why have you made a 'crafted' version of your logo (with such techniques as plasma cutting) ?

I mean why spending time and money to make something 'big' and 'real' (which is something cool in this 2.0 world) if it's to put it so small in a corner of your card with so much effects ?

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. if I were you, I'd just put a big photo of your real-life logo with a kind of motto saying something like "here at Design Alchemy, we're giving life to typography" or "we make it big", etc.

Hope you'll understand what I mean and that I'm not out of the subject.
