Because of the shapes, this might be difficult to pull off over an entire alphabet. Perhaps it could work as a script. I'd be curious to see how you did it if you do do it. The football counters make me want to see the word 'football' done like this.

yes I am certain this would be hard to complete as a whole typeface. I will not attempt this although I would welcome someone to take this and go with it, as long as I could get a copy of the final product.
